Enabling 2 or more PC's to connect to the same game server

Postby -=Born2Game=- » Wed Nov 20, 2013 5:30 pm

I have found that connecting multiple PC's to the same server for BF3/BF4 with both UPNP on or with UPNP off and relevant ports forwarded result in one PC being kicked with the message "Server Client closed down" when a second one joins. The solution is to allocate a static IP address for each PC on your network.

For Windows 7
1 Go to Start and in the search box type cmd
2 choose the cmd program
3 type ipconfig this will bring up your IP address, Subnet Mask and Default Gateway (leave this box open)
4 got to Start, Control Panel, Network and Internet, Network and Sharing Center
5 On the left hand side choose Change Adaptor Settings
6 Right click on your connection and choose Properties
7 Click on Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4) and click on Properties
8 Choose the option Use the following IP address
9 Enter the IP address as seen in you cmd window(or choose your own last digits ie 192.168.0.?) and pushing tab will fill in Subnet Mask
10 Enter Default Gateway
11 Enter Preferred DNS Server with the same entry as Default Gateway.
12 Click Ok,close cmd and your done,

Incoming packets will no longer be dropped causing disconnections and will go to the correct PC.

:D Game On
